Do you know what your book club is missing?
Teresa and Poppy!
Would you like to have Teresa Rhyne appear at your Fall or Winter book club meeting, to lead your discussion about Poppy In The Wild, answer all your questions, and probably have a glass of wine or two? YOU REALLY CAN HAVE IT ALL!
Starting this summer and through the fall, Teresa is available to join your book club virtually through Zoom, Facetime, Skype, or any other videoconferencing service. Teresa will gladly sit in with your group while you discuss Poppy In The Wild, sharing her own insights, answering your questions, and reading from the text. Who knows? You might even get a cameo appearance by Poppy herself (if she’s feeling up to it and can be bribed with treats…).
To schedule Teresa’s virtual visit with your book club, please click here and fill out the form. Remember, there is only one Teresa, so book club visits will be on a first-come, first-served basis, subject to her availability, and require as much advanced notice as possible.
Poppy In The Wild Questions and Conversation Starters for your Book Club
1. Have you ever lost a dog before? When and how did it happen? Did you find the dog? How long did it take?
2. What do you think Poppy’s “experience” in the wilderness was like? How do you imagine she survived?
3. What lessons did you take away from Poppy In The Wild? Was there any one thing or multiple things that you learned that you did not know before?
4. Did you think Teresa’s response when Poppy was first reported lost was over-the-top, properly justified, or not enough? What would you have done in her situation? What would be your first steps after losing a dog?
