Welcome to our new blog site! Whether you followed us over from blogspot or are new here, we’re happy you’ve found us. I always hated the word “journey” in reference to my cancer experience, because hey, if I’m going on a journey I want it to involve exotic locales, sunny beaches, umbrella drinks and lots of rest, not surgery, sickness and a bald head. But, “journey” does seem to apply to this strange and wonderful trip to publication of “The Dog Lived (and So Will I)” memoir. So welcome to our journey—thanks for following Seamus and me. AAAARRRRROOOOOOOOOO!!! (And don’t forget to buy the book—see link on the side bar—it keeps Seamus in toast!)

From the mom – well of course we just had to stop by – the Diva Shasta insisted we stop by so that we (she) didn’t miss anything about you and Seamus. Looking forward to visiting here and I would also like to hear your thoughts about Blogger and WordPress once you are here for a few days and are more comfortable with WP. Blogger is and has done a few things I really have a problem with. but not sure I want to change yet. Anyway, late here for us so need to stop for now.
Shasta tells me that she likes the sound of … Seamus the Famous and Shasta the Diva (but then her’s doesn’t really rhyme much)

Love the new blog!
Hey, I think your “after cancer” shot should include Chris! Otherwise, it looks like he was there before and during – but not after!
Sara,
Chris said the same thing! It’s like he got booted post-cancer and of course he didn’t. I used the one of Seamus and me because we’re the two cancer survivors, but you are absolutely correct. We’ll have to find a photo of the three of us (not as easy as it sounds).
Teresa:
Congratulations on your first book tour! I looked for book exerpt but couldn’t find it! Hope you had fun in NYC. I used to live there and miss it very much.
Keep up posted on the book!

Thank you for telling your story. You are an inspiration, right along with Seamus. I also love Chris’ strength through out your trials. I enjoyed that you shared the good, the bad and the ugly. You’re true feelings. I love your sense of humor by the way, too.
While I haven’t battled breast cancer, I have been battling several chronic autoimmune diseases and was declared to be in remission for thymoma cancer in 2006..I was fortunate that after surgery, I did not have to go through chemo or radiation. They watched me closely for about 6 years. My chocolate lab, Gracie, who will be 14 in March has been at my side through all of it. She now is battling her own health issues. We have been referred to being like E.T. and Elliott in the way we understand each others feelings and pain..
Several people, including 2 of my doctors, have told me that I should share my story. One said it was my duty to do it. Reading your story has helped give me the strength to work on this project. I thank you!
Best wishes and good health to you, Seamus and Chris.
Thank you Jean! and an extra treat for Gracie! It does sound like your story is one to share. Dogs are amazing creatures.
Best of health to you too. Thank you for reaching out.
